About Ghana Classmates
About Ghana Classmates After coming to the United States and reconnecting
with some old students, the common question that often came up was "Where is this
person now? What is this person doing now?" Other words that came up were "I wonder
what ever happened to …" Such questions, led to the creation of Ghana Classmates.
What is Ghana Classmates?
Ghana Classmates is a social network, created as a ground for
finding former classmates
or old school friends.
Why join this network?
By registering to become a member,
you will have a fully functional unit that lets you interact with other registered
members. All registered members should add schools they have attended in Ghana to
their profile after their initial login.
Once you have added a school to your profile,
the system gives you the opportunity to share memorable stories, otherwise known
in the Ghanaian jargon as “Tooli”, send internal e-mails to other members, post
comments on other member profiles etc.
You will also have the opportunity to respond
to any story that has been posted, regardless if you have attended the particular
school in question or not. You can also search for old friends
to see if they are registered members.
When you have found your friend, you may "Add" the person as your personal friend. By performing this action, your friend will automatically
be added to your personal friends list, which can be viewed on your profile. In
case your search does not yield any results and you know your friend’s e-mail address,
you can refer or invite him or her to join the network.

In April, 2007, a plan was put together plans to establish
a website that will unite all old school friends in Ghana. This thought process
on paper was gradually transformed into action from June, 2007 to present. Every
part of the website was custom programmed to meet the uniqueness of the Ghanaian
system. After over 1000 long hours of programming, Ghana Classmates was implemented.
